About Nicole

Hi! My name is Nicole Kavros. I recently graduated from Chapman University with a B.A. in English, a Journalism emphasis, and a minor in Creative and Cultural Industries.

Growing up, I was addicted to a good story, regardless of the medium. I found myself spending hours in the school library, scribbling half-finished poems in my notebooks, and obsessively listening to musical theatre soundtracks. I knew that I wanted to pursue storytelling and ignite this feeling in others, which led me to journalism.

At Chapman, I refined my writing skills in journalism courses and explored multimedia projects through my minor, building both a creative portfolio and collection of 90 published articles. I took on various leadership roles and internships where I further explored journalism, publishing, public relations, communications, and administrative work, applying what I was learning in class to the wider landscape of media and culture.  ​​

My mission is to inform, engage, and inspire audiences. These goals are what draw me to media, where I can and have achieved them. I am a dedicated writer, communicator, and leader who brings on a variety of experiences and an eagerness to learn. I am passionate about connecting with others through storytelling in the same way my favorite stories have left a lasting impact on my life.

Outside of work, you'll find me being an audience member at the movies, stand-up comedy, or a play. Or, depending on the day, I'll be taking my local trivia a little too seriously.
